He was 83.
Newman, who had been battling cancer, passed away on Friday, Newman's Own Foundation said in a statement from Westport, Connecticut.

You will find that over the past years, there has not been a spike in celebrities deaths. We only think there is when the more famous ones pass away all near each other.R.I.P. to a great actor. Paul Newman will be missed
